Full job description

Purpose: Following on from an increase in the volume of the facilities sector invoicing, we are looking for an AP team leader to manage the facilities sector AP process.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Process high volumes of supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorisation.
Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes (3-way matching).
Code invoices correctly to the general ledger.
Weekly statement reconciliations for the facilities sector suppliers.
Handle supplier queries promptly and professionally.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date creditor records.
Assist with month-end close and reporting.
Support audits by providing relevant documentation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Work closely with procurement, finance, and other departments.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience in an accounts payable role.
Education: AAT Qualification (or studying AAT) is desirable.
Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Leadership: The ability to liaise with key suppliers and assist in problem solving.
