Full job description

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for several permanent Registration Development Assistants to join our Registration team.

Registration Development Assistants play a key role in supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of our registration service. You will contribute to the day-to-day delivery of Registration services. This includes processing registration work, supporting the management of complex cases, handling enquiries from registrants, employers and members of the public, and providing advice and guidance on registration processes and systems.

Having gained the right level of knowledge and competence in the day-to-day work of your team, working closely with Registration Team Leaders and colleagues across the organisation, you will also provide training, mentoring and guidance to Registration staff, helping to ensure registration processes are delivered consistently, efficiently and to a high standard. You will support the induction and development of colleagues, maintain procedures and guidance, contribute to quality assurance activities, and help identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working.

The role requires excellent communication and customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to balance operational priorities with service improvement activity. Working in a busy and collaborative environment, you will help ensure that our registration service continues to deliver positive outcomes for registrants, employers and stakeholders across Scotland.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to make accurate decisions based on information and guidance
Flexibility to adapt to new initiatives and changes to working practices
Willingness to undertake training and development to build knowledge and skills within the role • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload effectively.

Training will be provided to ensure you have the underpinning knowledge and skills to carry out RDA tasks involving providing advice/guidance to others, training and quality assurance. The starting salary for this post will be at the minimum point of the advertised pay scale.
