Fire Alarm Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Fire Alarm Engineer to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality fire detection and life safety solutions while providing outstanding customer service.

As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and residential properties.

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission, service, and maintain fire alarm systems.
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to fire detection equipment.
Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.
Test fire alarm systems in accordance with relevant British Standards.
Complete service reports, certification, and maintenance documentation accurately.
Ensure all work complies with current fire safety legislation and industry standards.
Liaise professionally with customers and provide technical advice where required.
Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota where applicable.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience working as a Fire Alarm Engineer.
Good knowledge of conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
Experience servicing and fault-finding on systems from leading manufacturers.
Full UK driving licence.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
FIA (Fire Industry Association) training or equivalent.
Experience with Gent, Advanced, Morley, Kentec, C-Tec, Apollo, Hochiki, or other major fire alarm systems.
ECS or CSCS card (desirable)
IPAF or PASMA certification (desirable)
Knowledge of emergency lighting systems and fire safety regulations.
