Full job description

Purpose of the Role

This is a newly created role designed to support the continued growth and development of the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving internal processes while driving the company's marketing activities. The position combines business process documentation with creative marketing, ensuring that internal procedures are clearly communicated and external marketing campaigns effectively promote the Slater Safety brand.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Process Management

· Understand, review and document company processes across all departments.

· Create, maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

· Produce process maps, workflow diagrams and visual wall charts.

· Develop scanning reports, process documentation and training materials.

· Work with department managers to identify opportunities for process improvement.

· Ensure all documentation is accurate, consistent and easily accessible.

Marketing

· Manage and maintain the company's social media platforms.

· Design and produce electronic marketing materials, including flyers and promotional content.

· Create and manage email marketing campaigns.

· Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, competitors and industry trends.

· Monitor and evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns using relevant analytics.

· Produce regular reports on campaign effectiveness and social media engagement.

· Assist in developing and implementing the company's marketing strategy.

Sales & Business Support

· Work closely with the Sales Team to support marketing initiatives and customer engagement.

· Assist in producing promotional material to support sales activities.

· Provide administrative and project support where required.

· Assist the Managing Director with ad-hoc business projects and strategic initiatives.

Technology & AI

· Confidently utilise Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to improve efficiency, productivity and content creation.

· Identify opportunities where AI can streamline business processes and marketing activities.

· Keep up to date with emerging AI technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Skills & ExperienceEssential

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organisational and time management skills.

· High level of attention to detail.

· Competent user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).

· Experience using social media platforms for business purposes.

· Confident using AI tools such as ChatGPT or similar platforms.

· Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.

· Creative mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

Desirable

· Experience creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

· Experience with process mapping or business improvement.

· Marketing qualification or relevant experience.

· Knowledge of Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

· Experience using email marketing platforms.
