Company Overview

Garner Osborne Circuits specialises in manufacturing high-quality Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) and electronic products for diverse industries including medical and veterinary equipment, aerospace, motor racing, oil & gas.

Summary

Join us as Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Operator in our Production team. In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating surface mount technology (SMT) equipment including pick and place machines, screen printers, and reflow ovens to support high-quality PCB assembly.

Responsibilities:

Set up and run SMT machines (pick & place, screen printers, reflow ovens)
Participate in daily team briefings and follow production schedules
Work from assembly drawings and bills of materials (BOMs)
Identify component types and board defects
Ensure work meets IPC-A-610 standards and quality requirements
Follow ESD and health & safety procedures
Support continuous improvement and assist other teams when required

Skills & Experience:

We would love you to have the skills and experience listed below, but we are also keen to hear from you if you can evidence in your application a willingness to learn, as training for the right candidates can be provided.

Experience in SMT/PCB assembly, or a similar environment
Knowledge of electronic components (resistors, capacitors, ICs)
Ability to follow technical drawings and instructions
Strong attention to detail
Good computer literacy
Experience with Juki and Yamaha machines plus HIT and RePrint printing machines
Fine pitch / BGA experience
Understanding of IPC-A-610 standards
Soldering and rework experience

· Day: 07:45 – 16:45 Mon – Thurs, 06:00 – 16:45 Fri.

· Late: 13:00 – 22:00 Mon – Thurs, 13:00 – 19:00 Fri
