Full job description

The post-holder will manage a wide range of general dermatology conditions and perform minor procedures in fully supported, well-equipped community clinics.

Diagnose and manage a wide range of dermatology conditions (eg eczema, acne, psoriasis, inflammatory & pigmentation issues)

Conduct minor dermatological surgical procedures (e.g., biopsies, cryotherapy).

Oversee referral triage from primary and secondary care and provide appropriate advice & guidance where clinically appropriate.

Work closely with GP colleagues and and wider support staff in a high-functioning team.

Work collaboratively with GPs, hospital dermatology, system partners and Care Group leadership to support service development in line with population need.

Assisting with teaching and training of junior staff and medical students.

Participate in and support quality review activities including MDT meetings, audit, case reviews and quality investigations when required.

Duties reasonably expected of a GP working within primary care

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP) provides health and care services for a population of over one million people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care, as well as the provision of three GP surgeries in Cheshire.

We employ around 4,500 staff across 73 sites and have services across Wirral and Cheshire, as well as Trafford, Warrington, Bolton, Halton, Liverpool and Stockport.
