Clinical Lead - Registered Nurse

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Lead Nurse to join QME Care, providing clinical leadership across Murray House and Evanthea House.
This is a newly developed senior nursing role, created as part of our internal model development and continued commitment to delivering outstanding, person-centred care. Working as part of the nursing team and reporting directly to the Registered Manager, you will provide clinical leadership, oversight and support to our nursing teams, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice, governance and resident care.
This role offers flexible working hours for the right candidate. Working hours agreed flexibly to meet the needs of both the service and the successful applicant.
We are ideally seeking an Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), although we would also welcome applications from an experienced RGN with substantial experience in mental health, dementia, alcohol-related brain injury, complex physical health needs and behaviours of concern.

- Murray House is a specialist nursing unit supporting adults over 50 living with dementia and other cognitive conditions/brain injury such as alcohol-related brain injury (ARBD), delivering highly individualised care in a purpose-designed environment.
- Evanthea House is not a traditional care home. It provides specialist nursing support for adults aged 18 years and over with complex physical health needs, mental health conditions, acquired brain injuries, learning disabilities and emotional or behavioural support needs, enabling people to live fulfilling lives in a homely environment.

About the Role
As Clinical Lead in a Senior Nurse role you will provide professional clinical leadership across both services, supporting nurses and care teams to deliver safe, effective and compassionate care.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing day-to-day clinical leadership and expert nursing support.
- Working as part of the nursing team while providing guidance, coaching and support to colleagues.
- Supporting and developing the nursing team through mentoring, supervision and clinical advice.
- Promoting best practice in dementia care, mental health, alcohol-related brain injury and complex care.
- Leading on clinical governance, audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Supporting medication management, clinical documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Working alongside the Registered Manager and wider leadership team to continually improve standards of care and resident outcomes.
- Assisting with complex assessments, care planning and clinical decision making.
- Acting as a role model who promotes professional accountability and person-centred practice.
About You
You will be a compassionate, experienced nurse who enjoys supporting others and driving high standards of care.
You will have:
- Active NMC registration (RMN preferred).
- RGN applicants will be considered where they have extensive experience in mental health, dementia, alcohol-related brain injury and complex health/behavioural care.
- Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and evidence-based practice.
- A genuine passion for improving the lives of people living with dementia, alcohol-related brain injury, mental health conditions and complex care needs.
Essential Information
- Active NMC PIN required.
- RMN preferred.
- Experienced RGN applicants with significant mental health experience are encouraged to apply.
- Flexible working hours by agreement.
- Full eligibility to work in the UK is essential. Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available for this role.
