About Us

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teaching assistant to join our team at The March Church of England Primary School. The school is located in beautiful surroundings, offering a nurturing and inclusive environment for children to thrive. With an Ofsted rating of Good, we are committed to providing a high-quality education that inspires and empowers our children. The post holder will also be required to work as a Midday Meals Supervisor during the lunchtime period.

Job Details

TA: Grade 3 Scale point 3

TA FTE: £25,614 - 25 hours
Actual Salary: £14,545

MDM: Grade 2 scale point 3

MDM FTE: £25,614 – 5 hours
Actual salary: £2,907

Total Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8.30am-3pm

Contract: Permanent Term time only.

What You Need to Succeed

We are seeking candidates who:

Can provide support to our children and teacher in the classroom
Committed to the education and well-being of all the children in our school.
Hard working, highly motivated and able to work well as member of a team.
A good standard of education particularly in English and Mathematics.
Experience of supporting children in a classroom environment, including those with special educational needs.
Ability to establish positive relationships with children and empathise with their needs.
Ability to demonstrate active listening skills.

Desirable Criteria

NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent
