Eventus Legal are seeking an Employment Solicitor / Employment Lawyer with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE to join an expanding Employment Law team in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear. This is a permanent, full-time Employment Solicitor job offering a salary of £45,000 - £65,000, flexible hybrid working (including remote working) and an excellent benefits package. The firm are open to considering part-time or flexible working requests, making this an attractive opportunity for an Employment Solicitor seeking work-life balance alongside high-quality work and career progression in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear.

Role Responsibilities

The incoming Employment Solicitor will manage a diverse caseload of employment law matters, providing clear and commercially focused legal advice to a broad client base.

Key responsibilities for this Employment Solicitor job include:

Managing a full caseload of employment law matters across contentious and non-contentious areas
Advising clients on employment law issues, HR best practice and employment aspects of corporate transactions
Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, handbooks and settlement agreements
Representing clients in Employment Tribunals and negotiations, and assisting counsel where required
Conducting legal research and staying up to date with legislative developments
Supporting and mentoring junior solicitors and support staff within the Employment Law team
Building and maintaining strong client relationships, contributing to ongoing business development
Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies

Person Specification

Applications are sought from qualified Employment Solicitors, Employment Lawyers or Associate Solicitors with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE. This Employment Solicitor job is ideal for a legal professional who enjoys managing a varied caseload and delivering high standards of client service.

You will also demonstrate:

Strong experience handling a wide range of employment law matters
A proven ability to manage complex employment law cases independently
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Commercial awareness and an interest in business development
The ability to build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellent legal services
A collaborative and supportive approach to team working
