Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Wylam Brewery. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our establishment while providing exceptional service to our guests. Wylam is dynamic venue, consisting but not limited to, Weddings, Live Shows, Sunday Lunches, Food and Drink Festivals and corporate functions, so the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in a service-forward role, team management, along with a passion for hospitality and leadership in an event-driven environment.

Duties

Assist in the daily operation, ensuring high standards of service.
Supervise and train staff members, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging teamwork.
Oversee food preparation and production processes, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for improving service and operational efficiency.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the venue, adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a management role within a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Excellent leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing teams effectively.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff and customers alike.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
