Full job description

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Family Law Colleague to support solicitors and clients in a busy family law practice. The successful candidate will assist with case management, client communication, document preparation, and administrative support across a range of family law matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of family law matters under solicitor supervision, including divorce, child arrangements, domestic abuse, and financial remedy cases.
Prepare, review, and organise legal documents, court bundles, correspondence, and case files.
Liaise with clients, courts, barristers, social services, and other professionals to progress cases efficiently.
Conduct legal research and gather evidence to support case preparation.
Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with court deadlines and firm procedures.
Provide compassionate and professional support to clients during sensitive and often complex family law proceedings.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a legal caseworker, paralegal, or family law support role preferred.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.

This position is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to support family processes efficiently. Prior experience in legal settings combined with excellent organisational abilities will be highly valued.

Pay: From £36,000.00 per year
