Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years one-to-one SEN Support to join our team. In this role, you will provide personalised support to young children with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the tailored assistance necessary to thrive in a nurturing learning environment. Your energetic approach will foster confidence, independence, and engagement, helping thechild reach their full potential. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

Deliver one-to-one support tailored to the individual needs of children aged 2-4 with special educational needs.
Assist children during activities, play, and routines to promote social interaction and emotional well-being
Implement individualised learning plans and strategies under the guidance of managers, SENCo and specialists
Support communication development through various techniques and tools suited to the child's abilities
Observe and record progress, behavioral responses, and any concerns to inform ongoing support plans
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and independence
Collaborate closely with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent support for each child

Qualifications

Experience working with children in educational or care settings, particularly within early years or preschool environments highly desirable
Prior experience supporting individuals with autism or other disabilities is highly desirable
Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for supporting diverse learning needs highly desirable
Hands-on experience working with toddlers or very young children in care or teaching roles
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, colleagues, and families
Demonstrated patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for supporting young learners’ development

Pay: £12.71-£13.63 per hour
