About The Role

Altrad Integrity Services are currently looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to lead the design, development and delivery of complex structural engineering projects while providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers. You will play a key role in delivering innovative engineering solutions, supporting business growth and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Deliverables:

Lead the design, development and implementation of complex structural engineering projects.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.
Support the Principal Discipline Engineer(s) and Engineering Manager by acting as a subject matter expert in structural engineering.
Undertake engineering analysis, calculations and assessments to deliver safe, practical and cost-effective solutions.
Conduct technical investigations and research to solve engineering challenges and improve engineering processes.
Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, specifications, proposals and engineering documentation.
Ensure engineering designs comply with relevant legislation, industry standards, client specifications and company procedures.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Support Project Engineers and Project Managers in defining project scope, deliverables, budgets and programme estimates.
Lead technical quality assurance activities, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), Manufacturing Record Book (MRB) reviews and vendor assessments.
Contribute to the development, implementation and continual improvement of engineering standards, procedures and best practices.
Review and approve discipline-specific work instructions, calculations and method statements.
Mentor, coach and develop junior engineers, supporting professional development and knowledge sharing.
Deliver on-the-job training and technical guidance across the engineering team.
Support Business Development activities, including client engagement, technical proposals and tender submissions.
Participate in project close-out and lessons learned reviews, implementing improvements where appropriate.
Ensure discipline deliverables are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Maintain accurate engineering records and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide structural engineering support during internal and external audits.
Monitor developments in legislation, engineering standards and industry best practice, advising the business of relevant changes.
Promote a positive Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) culture through safe systems of work and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering or a related engineering discipline (Master's degree desirable).
Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng), or actively working towards professional registration with the Engineering Council.
Significant experience delivering structural engineering projects within the energy, industrial or infrastructure sectors.
Strong technical knowledge of structural engineering principles, design codes, standards and best practice.
Experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering projects from concept through to completion.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical engineering solutions.
Experience producing and reviewing engineering calculations, reports and technical documentation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
Proficiency with relevant engineering software and design tools.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Commitment to delivering high standards of safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

Desirable:

Offshore Medical.
BOSIET with CA-EBS.
MIST certification.
Experience supporting offshore energy or industrial infrastructure projects.
Experience participating in vendor quality assurance activities and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
