Full job description

We are seeking reliable and experienced housekeeping assistants to join our friendly team.

As a housekeeping assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the daily cleaning and upkeep of the College’s student rooms, public areas, and facilities. Works as part of the housekeeping team to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all students, staff, and visitors in line with Arthur Findlay College values.

Principial Responsibilities:

Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to required standards.
Change bed linen, towels, and replenish amenities as needed.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Assist with laundry duties and the handling of cleaning supplies.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of storage and work areas.
Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures.
Work collaboratively with other housekeeping staff and departments.
Provide a friendly and helpful service to guests and colleagues.

Qualification, Knowledge and Experience:

Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning is desirable.
Good understanding of hygiene and health & safety procedures.
Ability to follow instructions and work to standards.

Skills, Abilities & Competences:

Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good time management and organisational skills.
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Physical stamina for manual tasks and standing for long periods.
Friendly and approachable manner.

Part-time and Full-time roles available.

Shift patterns: 8-4:30pm / 8-2:15pm / 9:30-2:15pm

Saturday availability is essential

Flexibility with working hours can be discussed at interview
