Salary: MPS1 – UPS3
Contract: Full-time, maternity cover

Maths Teacher – Full-Time Maternity Cover

Are you a Maths Teacher looking for your next opportunity from October?

We are working with a secondary school in Tonbridge who are looking to appoint a confident and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their team on a full-time maternity cover.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys teaching Maths through to GCSE level and wants to join a school where they can make a real impact in the classroom.

The school is looking for someone who can step confidently into the role, deliver high-quality lessons and build strong relationships with students. You will be joining an established Maths team and will be supported throughout the placement.

About the role

Full-time Maths teaching position
Maternity cover starting in October 2026
Teaching Maths through to GCSE
Planning and delivering engaging, challenging and well-structured lessons
Monitoring and assessing student progress
Supporting students to develop confidence and achieve strong outcomes
Maintaining high expectations of behaviour, effort and achievement
Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Maths department

The ideal candidate

We are particularly keen to hear from Maths Teachers who:

Have QTS or recognised UK teaching experience
Have a strong background in secondary Maths
Are confident teaching through to GCSE
Have excellent subject knowledge
Set high expectations for students
Can deliver engaging lessons that challenge and support students of different abilities
Have strong classroom management skills
Enjoy working collaboratively within a department
Are committed to helping students achieve their full potential
