In Consumer it is no different – we have spent many years working with the largest Consumer clients in the UK and Globally, supporting them with some of their greatest challenges that can range from fundamental re-imagination of the Operating Model for omnichannel customer engagement and personalisation, to modernising their businesses through the implementation of new technology to help them keep up with rapidly changing consumer demands.
Your role will include:
Strategy & Roadmap Development

Translate strategy and future vision into actionable transformation roadmaps
- Prioritise business demands and transformation initiatives based on value, risk, and strategic alignment

Lead client thinking in identifying areas of innovation that encourage new ways of working and enhance the existing operating model
- Business Architecture & Operating Model Design
-
Support the design and delivery of operating models and identify areas of innovation/operational improvement within existing operating models
- Ensure alignment between business and technology functions to design future-state capabilities
- Manage Deloitte and client teams to understand their organisations, to design and deliver Operating Models that are fit for purpose and successfully realise their strategic intention
Project Management
-
Manage successful teams, workstreams and engagements on time and to budget
- Manage risks, issues and dependencies to ensure projects are delivered smoothly
Business Analysis & Decision Support

Gather and analyse business requirements, map current processes, identify inefficiencies, and define future-state processes

Develop and build business cases, and identifying and/or delivering sustainable cost savings in collaboration with senior clients
-
Manage dependencies, assess project impact, and prioritise initiatives accordingly
-
Develop methodical approaches to research and guiding a team through analysing large qualitative and quantitative data sets to shape recommendations
Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Work closely and engage with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders to align on strategy, priorities, and transformation goals

Develop and manage relationships across a broad range of stakeholder group

We are looking for people who have:
Proven depth of knowledge of the operational dynamics and industry trends in one or more of the following industries:
- Consumer Packaged Goods

Transport, Hospitality & Services
- Retail
-
Experience of use of AI/ Automation to accelerate key operational processes and/or optimise ways of working in one of the above sectors

Experience of managing change including stakeholder engagement, communications, and adoption plans to ensure smooth transitions
-
Experience operating at a strategic and operational level, balancing long-term vision with hands-on execution
-
Experience working across a variety of tools such as Excel, Powerpoint, Jira, Data Visualisation (e.g. PowerBi / Tableau) and Process Modelling tools (e.g. Signavio)
-
Previous consulting experience, whether as an independent advisor or in-house
-
Experience of a mid-level operational role in at least one Consumer organisation (as an employee or as a consultant/contractor) demonstrating knowledge of the overall operating model of that business

Experience of managing a small team

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships).
