Supporting the Registered Nursing staff in the delivery of personal care and assistance for patients at The Hospital of St Cross & University Hospital Coventry.

Please note this vacancy is for substantive staff only, we are not currently recruiting for bank positions.
The post holder will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. This may include working across a range of shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays where appropriate.

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.

Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW)-Band 2-£25,272 + enhancements.
As a band 2 HCSW you must have previous experience of care or experience in working within a person-centred & public facing role or already hold a level 2 health and social care related qualification.
Full and Part Time Posts available. The salary will be pro rata for part time staff.

Mulberry Ward- Rugby STX
Mulberry ward is a 22-bedded care of the elderly medical/rehabilitation ward at our Rugby site of the Hospital of St Cross.
We are looking for an HCSW who is fully flexible rotating between days and nights. Full time and part time posts.
Oak Ward - Rugby STX
Oak ward is an elderly rehabilitation ward at our Rugby site of the Hospital of St Cross.; we work closely alongside therapists to support frail elderly patients to improve their mobility. Healthcare support workers will be expected to work; Day and Night shifts. Short or long days can be accommodated.
Haemodialysis Unit
We are an outpatient unit offering dialysis treatments to patients with renal failure who attend for dialysis 3 times a week
Working hours are Mondays to Saturdays- shift patterns of Longdays 7am to 7pm, 11am to 11pm, 3pm to 11pm. 7am to 3pm, 11.30 to 7.30pm. With monthly on call shifts/

MAU
We are looking for HCSW for flexible short, longdays and night shifts in our Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) providing essential care and support to patients presenting with acute medical conditions requiring rapid assessment, treatment and monitoring.
Working as part of the multidisciplinary team assisting patients with personal care, clinical observations, patient transfers and maintaining patient comfort and safety. playing a key role in supporting timely assessment and management of patients, delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment. MAU receives patients from the Emergency Department, GP referrals and ambulance services, caring for patients with a wide range of acute medical needs.
Theatres- Rugby STX & Coventry Sites
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our busy Theatre Department, comprising 22 theatres in Main Theatres, 5 Ground Floor Theatres, and 6 theatres at Rugby St Cross Hospital.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who is committed to delivering high standards of patient care within the perioperative environment. Working as part of the multidisciplinary theatre team, you will support registered practitioners and scrub staff in providing safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients throughout their surgical journey.
You will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient theatre environment, assisting with the preparation of theatres and equipment, patient movement and positioning, and ensuring patients receive dignified, person-centred care at all times. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team focused on delivering excellent patient outcomes and experiences.
Ward 10 Surgery
Ward 10 is an elective surgery ward caring for patients before and after a variety of surgical procedures. We are preferably looking for staff who can work full-time hours; however, we are happy to negotiate hours to suit individual circumstances.
The role includes a mixture of weekday, weekend, day, and night shifts.

Ward 52
Ward 52 is a 39 bedded Trauma & Orthopaedic ward providing specialist care for patients undergoing elective and emergency treatment.
We are looking for a HCSW to provide compassionate and person-centred care to our patients, supporting in daily living needs, mobility, rehabilitation and recovery, working closely with Multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
We are looking for a full-time flexible HCSW to work preferably Long day shifts.
