Role Summary

We are seeking an Attendance Advisor to join our Attendance Monitoring Team, supporting the delivery of high-quality services across the University.

In this role, you are responsible for overviewing all student attendance and engagement across the university and where appropriate issuing attendance based notices. Key responsibilities include supporting the delivery of process workflows and formal communications that are issued to students and apprentices, whilst supporting with using systems associated with attendance monitoring and ensuring student records are accurate and up to date. working closely with The Student retention Team and UKVI Compliance Team to ensure services are efficient, compliant, and aligned to University priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the delivery of the Student Attendance and Engagement process as determined by the University and as outlined in the policy and operational guidance.
Review and issue data sets issuing attendance notifications to students and apprentices as required as per the pre-determined attendance monitoring schedule, meeting set key deadlines.
Producing and interpreting information relating to attendance pattern and provide updates for student attendance.
Acting as a key point of contact pertaining to attendance monitoring queries such as register queries, system set up, errors or trend analysis.

Essential Requirements

Be educated to first degree level, or be able to demonstrate a combination of professional qualifications, skills and experience at an equivalent level.
Have experience in the use of a corporate student record system, in particular SITS.
Possess good Excel skills with the ability to analyse data sets.
Be a team player who can prioritise and work with multiple deadlines.
Have strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences including students.

Desirable Requirements

Ability to instigate new and innovative approaches and have a focus on continuous improvement.
A high degree of self-motivation and a self-managing work style, with the ability to set goals and work independently.
