Finance Assistant
Network Power Connections Ltd — Worcester

About NPC

Network Power Connections (NPC) is a NERS-accredited Independent Connections Provider delivering HV/LV electrical infrastructure, substation installations, and EV charging solutions across the UK. We're a growing business of around 30 people, and we run a tight, capable support function behind our operational teams.

The Role

We're looking for a Finance Assistant to join our support team in Worcester, reporting to our Financial and HR Manager. This is a hands-on role covering the full breadth of day-to-day finance administration — from purchase orders and invoicing through to payroll support, subcontractor compliance records, and budget reporting.

You'll work closely with our operations team, so accuracy and reliability matter. If you're someone who keeps things organised, catches errors before they become problems, and is comfortable in a fast-moving environment, this is a good fit.

What you'll be doing

Raising and monitoring purchase orders; reconciling supplier accounts
Raising client invoices and monitoring income
Supporting payroll processing and monitoring timesheets
Maintaining subcontractor and supplier files in line with NERS requirements
Producing budget reports for operational teams
Maintaining asset registers (IT and mobile)
Stock control and procurement support
Minute-taking at management meetings
General process improvement across finance and admin functions

What we're looking for

AAT Level 2 (or working towards it) — or equivalent practical experience
Working knowledge of Xero
Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Organised, accurate, and self-sufficient
Prior experience in a finance or accounts admin role is preferred
