Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Vehicle Preparation & PPF Assistant to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in vehicle detailing and protective film application. The role involves supporting the preparation and enhancement of vehicles, ensuring high standards of quality and attention to detail. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided, making it ideal for individuals eager to start and develop new skills within the automotive industry.

Duties

Washing and preparing vehicles for PPF installation
Decontaminating paintwork
Using specialist software to create PPF patterns
Operating our film cutting plotter
Organising patterns and materials
Assisting PPF technicians
Keeping the workshop clean and organised
Learning installation techniques and quality standards

Skills

Basic mechanical knowledge or interest in automotive work is advantageous but not essential
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is desirable; training will be provided for those without prior experience
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when required
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
Willingness to learn new skills and develop within a professional environment
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting

You do not need previous experience, but you must be:

Reliable and punctual
Practical and comfortable working with your hands
Careful around customers’ vehicles
Able to follow instructions
Willing to learn
Patient and attentive to detail
Able to work as part of a team

An interest in cars would be useful but is not essential.

This role provides valuable practical experience in vehicle preparation, offering opportunities for career growth within the automotive industry. A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and physical capability are essential qualities for success in this position.

Autoshine & Tinting has been established since 2001 and specialises in paint protection film, vehicle wrapping, window tinting and detailing.

We work on a wide range of vehicles, including prestige, performance and specialist cars.

Pay: £10.85-£12.85 per hour
