As the business continues to expand its workforce and service offering, Hawkeye Security Support Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead its people strategy, ensure full employment compliance, and support sustainable organisational growth.

Role Purpose

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of the company’s human resources function. The role will ensure the organisation attracts, recruits, develops, and retains a highly skilled workforce whilst maintaining full compliance with UK employment legislation, Right to Work requirements, safeguarding obligations, and industry standards. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to support workforce planning, employee engagement, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that support the company’s operational objectives and long-term growth.
Lead end-to-end recruitment campaigns, including workforce planning, advertising vacancies, candidate screening, interviewing, onboarding, and induction.
Manage pre-employment compliance processes including Right to Work verification, identity checks, enhanced DBS checks, reference verification, and maintenance of personnel records.
Ensure full compliance with UK employment legislation, equality legislation, GDPR, and internal HR policies.
Oversee employee onboarding programmes to ensure all new starters complete mandatory documentation, inductions, and compliance training before deployment.
Develop and coordinate learning and development programmes to enhance employee capability, regulatory compliance, and career progression.
Monitor employee performance through structured appraisal systems, probation reviews, performance improvement plans, and ongoing development initiatives.
Provide professional guidance to managers on employee relations matters including disciplinary procedures, grievances, absence management, capability issues, and conflict resolution.
Maintain accurate HR records, employee files, and management information systems, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity at all times.
Produce HR reports and workforce analytics covering recruitment, retention, turnover, absence trends, training compliance, and workforce planning to support strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with operational managers to forecast staffing requirements, coordinate resource allocation, and ensure appropriate workforce availability across multiple assignments.
Monitor employee wellbeing initiatives and implement strategies that promote engagement, inclusion, diversity, and staff retention.
Review and update employment contracts, staff handbooks, HR policies, and internal procedures to reflect legislative and organisational changes.
Support internal and external audits by ensuring HR documentation, compliance records, and statutory employment information are maintained accurately.
Manage payroll-related HR administration including contractual changes, starters, leavers, annual leave records, and employee benefits information.
Promote a positive organisational culture by encouraging professionalism, accountability, ethical conduct, and continuous improvement throughout the workforce.

Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in a Human Resources Manager
Experience managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.
Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Pay: £53,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
