40 Hours per Week | Rotating Double Day Shift Pattern (Monday to Friday)

The Opportunity
We are recruiting for two newly created Shift Manager positions, offering an exciting opportunity for ambitious and motivated individuals to make their mark within our operational leadership team.
As a Shift Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of our production operation outside of normal office hours, acting as a key point of contact across the business when senior management are not on site.
This is a highly visible role that requires strong leadership, sound decision-making and the ability to coordinate activities across multiple departments to ensure production objectives, quality standards and customer deadlines are achieved. This position would suit an experienced Team Leader, Supervisor or aspiring Manager who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys motivating people, solving problems and driving operational performance.
What You'll Be Doing
Operational Leadership
· Coordinate activities across Production, Print, Finishing, Packing, Warehouse and Dispatch departments to ensure efficient workflow throughout the shift.
· Monitor progress against production plans and scheduling requirements.
· Identify and resolve operational issues quickly to minimise disruption and maintain productivity.
· Act as the primary point of contact during your shift, making effective decisions when management teams are not present.
· Ensure production priorities are communicated clearly and consistently across all departments.
· Support the delivery of customer requirements by maintaining focus on quality, productivity and service levels.
People Management
· Provide day-to-day leadership, support and guidance to operational teams.
· Promote a positive, respectful and high-performing working environment.
· Encourage accountability, teamwork and effective communication across departments.
· Support employee engagement and help develop a culture of continuous improvement.
· Escalate personnel issues appropriately and provide support with absence, performance and conduct matters where required.
· Assist with the onboarding and development of new team members.
Quality Assurance
· Promote a quality-first culture across all operational areas.
· Ensure products and processes comply with company quality standards and customer expectations.
· Support investigations into quality issues and help implement corrective actions.
· Encourage teams to identify opportunities for improving quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Health & Safety
· Champion a strong health and safety culture throughout the business.
· Ensure safe systems of work are followed at all times.
· Monitor workplace practices and intervene where unsafe behaviours or conditions are identified.
· Support accident, near miss and hazard reporting processes.
· Maintain high standards of housekeeping and operational compliance throughout the shift.
Continuous Improvement
· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, communication and performance.
· Support the implementation of operational improvements and process changes.
· Work closely with managers and colleagues to drive best practice across the business.
· Help create a culture where people are encouraged to contribute ideas and challenge existing ways of working.
About You
We're looking for individuals who can demonstrate:
· Previous experience in a supervisory, team leader or operational leadership role.
· Experience within a manufacturing, production, warehouse, logistics or print environment.
· Strong organisational and planning skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Confidence making decisions and taking responsibility.
· A calm and professional approach under pressure.
· Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
· The ability to motivate and engage teams across different departments.
· A proactive mindset with a hands-on leadership style.
· Good IT skills and the ability to work with production planning and scheduling systems.
