Full job description

We are looking for an organised, proactive and motivated individual to support our office team with procurement, project coordination and estimating. This is a predominantly remote role with occasional site visits across Sussex and the surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are well organised, materials are procured on time and communication between clients, suppliers and site teams runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Source and procure materials and plant for projects.
Obtain quotations and liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability and deliveries.
Coordinate with subcontractors and site teams regarding material requirements and delivery schedules.
Ensure materials and equipment are delivered to site in line with project programmes.
Carry out weekly project valuations.
Liaise with clients throughout projects to discuss progress and requirements.
Attend site visits to monitor progress, discuss requirements and support project delivery.
Maintain accurate digital filing systems and project documentation.
Manage diaries , appointments and project scheduling.
Provide general administrative support to ensure projects run efficiently.
Prepare construction take-offs in conjunction with the Director.

Hours: Minimum of 30 hours per week – flexible working can be discussed
Pay: £14.00 per hour during a 3 month probation period, increasing to £16.00 + per hour thereafter, depending on experience and performance.

Essential

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional, confident and presentable.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Strong IT skills, including: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel,Microsoft Outlook
Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable

Experience working within the construction industry; particularly on domestic renovations and home extensions.
Experience preparing construction take-offs or pricing projects.
Procurement or purchasing experience.
Knowledge of residential construction processes.
Experience dealing with suppliers and subcontractors.

Personal Qualities

Positive and proactive attitude.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Good commercial awareness.
Ability to build positive relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues.
Reliable, trustworthy and professional.
Willingness to visit sites as required.

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
