Job Purpose: The E.ON I&C Pillar combines the current npower Business Solutions & E.ON B2B businesses to create a new £5billion revenue business serving c60,000 customers and around 300,000 meter points with a view to becoming the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK. The Digital Technology & Change organisation is the integration consisting of Change Management, Digital Data and Technology & Partner and Service Management functions to provide Change & IT services to the E.ON I&C business. A key member of the technical team to assure and optimise the nBS data management capabilities, the Data Engineer is responsible for building, deploying and supporting effective data delivery solutions, interfaces, infrastructure, MI and reporting. This role will be responsible for the design, implementation, delivery and performance of class-leading MI and reporting using expert tooling and techniques. The role holder will be responsible for delivering consolidated business data, data optimisation, value-add analytics, data quality management tooling and senior level reporting across nBS - thus enabling nBS to leverage the greatest value possible from its data. The Data Engineer will be a strong advocate for data as the organisation's #1 asset.

- Responsible for developing new data solutions to satisfy business requirements within the nBS product backlog to drive delivery of project benefit to nBS.

- Responsible for delivering first class support and maintenance of delivered solutions, ensuring solution performance always meets expectations, application stability and delivering solutions to meet defects or changes within agreed SLAs

- Responsible for self-learning and personal development on solution development platforms, practices and techniques
