Salary: £55,000-£65,000 OTE

Location: Great Tey, Colchester
Monday – Friday 9.00 am to 5 pm (37.5 Hrs)

An exciting opportunity has now arisen within the Colchester & North Essex Agency.
About the role:
- Proactively generating commercial new business opportunities with local companies.
- Targeting and engaging businesses to uncover insurance needs.
- Building a consistent pipeline to deliver sales targets through outbound calls, referrals, introductions and networking.
- Booking and attending client meetings to fully understand the risk, complete fact finds and offer suitable insurance solutions.
- Prepare and deliver professional proposals and presentations.
- Confidently handling objections, negotiating and converting opportunities into long term client relationships.
- Progressing into managing your own portfolio of clients as you grow your own book.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Development and conversion delivering on and exceeding personal sales targets. Develop and execute sales strategies using market research, sector knowledge and insight into competitors to identify and convert opportunities. Proactively generating new business opportunities building a consistent pipeline which will be self generated through outbound calling, referrals and networking.
- Prepare and deliver professional quotation proposals and presentations by identifying, prospecting, and securing new commercial clients.
- Client Relationship Management by building and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, delivering tailored insurance solutions that meet clients’ needs and exceed expectations.
- Cross-Selling to proactively identify opportunities to introduce and refer NFU Mutual’s wider proposition, including:
- Financial Services (Protection, Pensions & Investments)
- Risk Management Services
- You will have experience winning new commercial insurance business and building long lasting relationships with business B2B clients.
- You must have a drive and passion for developing business through outbound calling, networking, client meetings etc having a proactive and resilient approach to create momentum.
- You will be tenacious and have a business curiosity to allow you to identify and explore new business opportunities within our target sectors.
- You will be confident, professional communicator who enjoys building rapport quickly with a consultative approach and an active listener to fully understand client requirements.
- You will be professional, organised and have a customer-focused approach.
- A target driven mindset and pride in doing things properly.
- Willing to learn and grow as a commercial new business development executive.
- Have a commitment to compliance and delivering good customer outcomes
