Job overview

The Anaesthetic Department at Kingston Hospital consists of 35 consultants and over 30 specialty doctors, trust grades and trainees.

We are a motivated and friendly group and were one of the first departments to achieve RCOA accreditation (ACSA), demonstrating our dedication to providing an outstanding quality of care and our enthusiasm to engage with national projects.

Main duties of the job

All operating takes place at Kingston Hospital and covers most specialties, except for neuro and cardiac surgery.

Anaesthetics are also given in X-ray, Accident and Emergency, Dental department, Royal Eye Unit and the Surgical Day Unit.

The appointee will work with the other trainees in the Operating Theatres, ITU and Labour Ward depending on experience and ability.

Weekly work will comprise a full shift 1 in 8 rota and includes weekend/night work.
