Full job description

Job Summary
Personal Assistant to Senior GP

We are looking for an experienced legal secretary to work as a Personal Assistant to one of our Senior GPs.

This position would be particularly suitable for a retired or semi-retired individual with previous experience in a legal secretarial or executive support role.

The successful candidate should be confident in handling correspondence independently after receiving a brief, have excellent organisational and communication skills, and be able to work with discretion and professionalism.

The role is based in Kenton, Harrow (HA3).

Hours of work and remuneration are negotiable and will be discussed with the successful candidate.

Duties

Provide comprehensive administrative support, including managing schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements.
Maintain accurate records and files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and organised.
Perform data entry tasks with precision, utilising software such as QuickBooks and Google Suite.
Handle correspondence professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when communicating with clients and stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations as required.

Requirements

Proven experience in an administrative or office support role is preferred for a doctor, lawyer or an accountant.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Google Suite applications is highly desirable.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent clerical skills, including attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Ability to type efficiently and maintain professionalism in all communications.
Demonstrated phone etiquette with strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with clients and colleagues.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
