Full job description

About the Role

We are looking for an organised, trustworthy and proactive Bookkeeper to support a busy entrepreneur with the financial administration of a growing portfolio of businesses and investment properties.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone seeking flexible, long-term work. The role will initially require approximately half a day per week, with the potential for additional hours as the portfolio continues to expand.

While much of the work can be completed remotely, attendance at the Director's residence in Farnham Common (SL2) on a weekly basis is essential for reconciliation, filing and financial administration.

Key Responsibilities

Monthly bookkeeping across multiple businesses and property entities
Bank reconciliations
Xero bookkeeping and account management
Processing invoices, receipts and expenses
Supplier and contractor payment preparation
Credit card reconciliations
Property income and expenditure tracking
Liaising with accountants where required
Maintaining accurate financial records
Assisting with general financial administration and reporting

Essential Requirements

Proven bookkeeping experience
Excellent working knowledge of Xero
Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
Trustworthy, discreet and able to handle confidential financial information
Confident working independently
Excellent communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office

Desirable

Experience working with property portfolios
Experience supporting entrepreneurs or owner-managed businesses
AAT qualification (or similar) desirable but not essential

Pay: £25,420.00-£42,981.35 per year
