Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and organised Receptionist/Manager to work within our team. Daily administrative operations within our dog grooming salon include customer service, booking dogs in on our booking system, taking dogs in and handing them back after their groom. Updatating our socials and general cleaning salon duties. The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, manage emails, and support team management activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your organisational, communication skills. Must be friendly and love dogs! Candidate will work alongside groomers, taking stock checks and ordering supplies.

Duties

Welcome visitors and clients, ensuring a professional and friendly first impression
Manage incoming calls with excellent phone etiquette, directing enquiries appropriately
Maintain appointment schedules.
Handle correspondence, emails, and administrative paperwork efficiently
Oversee office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary
Support human resources functions including onboarding new staff and maintaining personnel records
Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
Assist with team management tasks such as scheduling shifts and monitoring performance
Ensure the environment remains tidy, clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.

Experience

Proven experience in office administration or clerical roles, ideally within a managerial capacity
Supervising experience with a focus on team management and human resources functions
Familiarity with online booking system or similar accounting software is highly desirable
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with professional phone etiquette
Demonstrated ability to manage office operations efficiently and supervise administrative staff effectively
Prior experience in customer service or client-facing roles is advantageous

Pay: Up to £14.50 per hour
