Job Overview

The Project Coordinator will play a key role in the successful delivery of the Home Office-funded Voluntary Return

Scheme (VRS) across the Northwest of England. Working closely with the Project Manager, the postholder will

coordinate the daily delivery of project activities, support a team of Caseworkers and an Administrator, monitor project

performance, maintain accurate records and ensure contractual targets are achieved.

The role involves coordinating outreach and engagement activities, webinars, community awareness sessions and

referral pathways while ensuring that individuals receive practical, non-regulated support to help them make informed

decisions about voluntary return. The Project Coordinator will also work with partner organisations, community groups

and statutory agencies to strengthen referral networks and improve access to the service.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and confident working with

diverse communities in a sensitive, trauma-informed and culturally appropriate manner. They will ensure delivery

complies with Home Office requirements, safeguarding procedures, data protection legislation and organisational

policies.

MAIN DUTIES

· Coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the Voluntary Return Scheme (VRS), ensuring activities are delivered on time,

within budget, and in accordance with project objectives, Home Office requirements, and organisational standards.

· Provide day-to-day coordination and support to Caseworkers and the Administrator, ensuring effective

communication, workload planning, and high-quality service delivery.

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with community organisations, local authorities, voluntary sector

partners, and other stakeholders to strengthen referral pathways, collaborative working, and service accessibility.

· Lead the promotion and outreach of the VRS project through community engagement activities, presentations,

networking events, webinars, social media, digital marketing campaigns, and other communication channels to

increase awareness and engagement among eligible communities.

· Identify opportunities to expand referral networks, develop strategic partnerships, and increase awareness of the service across the Northwest of England.

· Develop and implement digital marketing activities, including managing social media content, website updates,

newsletters, online campaigns, and promotional materials to support project visibility and engagement.

· Create engaging digital content, including graphics, videos, case studies, and success stories, ensuring all communications align with organisational branding guidelines and are accessible to diverse audiences.

· Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach and digital marketing activities using engagement data,

feedback, and performance insights, adapting approaches to maximise reach and impact.

· Monitor project performance against agreed targets and KPIs, maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and

contribute to continuous service improvement.

· Ensure all project delivery complies with safeguarding procedures, GDPR, health and safety requirements, and

organisational policies, while maintaining clear professional boundaries regarding immigration advice.

· Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role and actively contribute to the wider objectives and values of Wirral Change.

ESSENTIAL QUALITIES

· Experience coordinating community, health, migration, social inclusion, or similar projects.

· Experience supporting the delivery of externally funded programmes and services.

· Excellent organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet

deadlines.

· Experience monitoring project performance against targets, KPIs, and agreed outcomes.

· Strong administrative, record-keeping, reporting, and data analysis skills.

· Ability to prepare clear reports and use performance information to support service improvement.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of

audiences.

· Experience building effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, community organisations, and partner

agencies.

· Experience working with vulnerable individuals and diverse communities, with an understanding of the challenges

faced by people from different backgrounds.

· Understanding of safeguarding principles for adults and children, equality, diversity, and inclusion.

· Knowledge of GDPR, confidentiality requirements, and maintaining professional boundaries.

· Experience using digital marketing tools and social media platforms to promote services, projects, or community

initiatives.

· Ability to create engaging digital content, including social media posts, newsletters, promotional materials, and

online campaigns.

· Understanding of audience engagement, online outreach strategies, and measuring the impact of digital

communications.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

· Ability and willingness to travel across the Northwest of England.

DESIRABLE QUALITIES

- Experience working on Home Office, UK Government or grant-funded programmes.

- Knowledge of voluntary return services or migration support.

- Experience coordinating outreach and community engagement activities.

- Experience working within the voluntary, community and faith sector.

- Knowledge of monitoring systems such as Charitylog or similar CRM systems.

- Experience organising webinars and training sessions.

- Understanding of trauma-informed practice.

- Ability to speak a community language relevant to Northwest communities.
