Deputy Manager-Residential care home, Swansea / Paid breaks/ Enhanced Training

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

· Competitive salary up to £18.00 per hour* for 36 hours.

· Attractive discretionary bonus scheme of up to £150 per month after successful probation.

We are an expanding group (4 care homes) catering for 30 residents in a modern and homely setting. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated and efficient team. We have an excellent reputation locally and we are proud of the high standards of care we provide.

This role is for you if you are someone who:

· Is visible and offers hands-on leadership

· Is calm, organised, and confident in a dementia care environment.

· Enjoys mentoring staff and bringing out the best in people.

· Takes pride in standards, compliance, and doing things properly, not cutting corners.

In this role you will

· Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, always ensuring outstanding care.

· Lead, mentor, and support the care team.

· Maintain high standards of care planning, medication management, documentation, supervisions, staffing issues, creating rotas, communicating with multidisciplinary teams, showing around prospective residents and families.

· Play an active role in KPIs, inspections, and continuous improvement.

· Build strong, trusting relationships with residents, families, and other professionals.

· Step confidently into the Manager’s role when required.

· Be familiar with electronic care software, EMAR, MS Office.

Development & Progression

· Ongoing leadership and management development

· Support with qualifications (e.g. Level 4/5 / leadership training)

· Genuine progression opportunities within our growing group of homes

· Exposure to wider operational and business aspects of care
