We're looking for an IT Security Consultant to join our growing team in Oldbury. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of clients, delivering practical security solutions, assessing cyber risks, and supporting businesses in strengthening their overall security posture.

What You'll Be Doing

Conduct security assessments, vulnerability reviews, and risk analyses.
Identify security weaknesses and recommend practical remediation plans.
Support the implementation of security controls, policies, and best practices.
Perform security audits against recognised industry standards.
Assist with incident response investigations and security reporting.
Work with internal teams and clients to improve cyber resilience.
Review network, cloud, and endpoint security configurations.
Provide technical guidance on security technologies and compliance requirements.
Stay informed about the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends.
Produce clear technical documentation and client reports.

What We're Looking For

Strong understanding of cyber security principles and risk management.
Knowledge of network security, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
Experience working with Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and cloud platforms.
Familiarity with vulnerability management and security assessment tools.
Understanding of frameworks such as Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards.
Relevant cyber security certifications are advantageous but not essential.
