Full job description

Internal Hiring working within the organisation.

The Role

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and customer-focused 1st/2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join our team.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll provide remote support to our clients, visit customer sites when required, and occasionally work from our Beckenham office. You'll be supported by experienced engineers and have the opportunity to progress your career as your technical skills develop.

Responsibilities

Provide 1st line technical support via telephone, email and remote support tools.
Diagnose and resolve Windows, Microsoft 365 and general IT issues.
Escalate more complex issues to senior engineers where appropriate.
Create and maintain accurate ticket notes and documentation.
Install and configure PCs, laptops, printers and peripherals.
Set up and support Microsoft 365 users, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.
Perform user account administration within Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory.
Support networking equipment including switches, Wi-Fi and firewalls.
Carry out onsite visits for installations, troubleshooting and user support.
Assist with IT projects and system deployments.
Deliver excellent customer service at all times.

Essential Skills

Minimum 1-2 years' experience in an IT Support or Helpdesk role.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Good troubleshooting ability.
Experience supporting:
Windows 10 & Windows 11
Microsoft 365
Outlook
Microsoft Teams
OneDrive
SharePoint
Active Directory
Entra ID (Azure AD)
Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
Experience supporting desktop and laptop hardware.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable Skills

Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:

NinjaOne RMM
SonicWall Firewalls
Microsoft Intune
Synology NAS
Microsoft Azure
