Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional service to our guests, assisting with food and drink orders, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and experience in food service environments. Previous catering, serving, or restaurant experience is highly desirable. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic team dedicated to delivering memorable dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Taking orders from guests accurately and efficiently
Serving food and beverages in a professional and courteous manner
Ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of service areas
Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times
Providing excellent customer service by attending to guest needs promptly
Supporting barista duties if applicable, including preparing coffee and other beverages
Assisting with setting up event spaces or catering functions when needed
Handling payments accurately using the POS system
Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods

Experience

Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality roles is preferred
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Experience working in a restaurant environment or similar setting is advantageous
Barista experience is a plus but not essential
Familiarity with food preparation and presentation techniques is desirable
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional attitude
