The Opportunity
Deputy SENDCO
Full time, 37 hours pw, term time (including INSET days)
Required from 1 September 2026
We are looking for a Deputy SENDCO to join our Inclusion team from 1 September 2026 to assist the SENDCO in fulfilling the school’s statutory SENDCO duties with a particular focus on assisting with duties surrounding the EHCP process for Key Stage 3 including consults, annual reviews and funding procurement and related duties.
About You
It would be an advantage to have experience in delivering and/or oversight of foundational knowledge in specialist / primary settings / secondary such as the following:
-
Reading/literacy: phonics, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension strategies and handwriting skills
- Mathematics: number sense, place value and basic calculation facts.
- Social and emotional development: communication, self-regulation, organisation and relationship skills.
An interest and experience in effectively supporting pupils with needs within the following categories will also be an advantage:
- SEMH and / or
- Cognition & Learning and / or
- Communication & Interaction and / or
- Physical & Sensory
