In this role, you’ll be working with both computerised and manual systems to make sure assessments run smoothly and accurately. You’ll handle a variety of tasks each day, from gathering and verifying information to updating records and preparing reports.

You’ll be the first point of contact for many customers, answering queries, offering clear advice and helping them navigate financial assessments with confidence.

Working with systems like Capita, Workflow 360 and Housing Systems, you’ll help ensure we deliver an efficient, fair and responsive service every time. You’ll also work closely with other teams and professionals to share information and solve problems together. If you enjoy detailed work that makes a real difference to people’s lives, you’ll find this role rewarding and varied.

About you

You’ll have a solid background working in a financial assessment or similar office environment and feel confident working with a range of administrative procedures. You’ll know your way around numbers and have no trouble carrying out calculations, percentages and checks to make sure everything adds up.

Communication is key in this role — you’ll enjoy speaking with customers and colleagues, whether that’s face to face, over the phone or in writing, always delivering great customer care and clear advice.

You’re someone who works well on your own and as part of a team. You can plan your workload, follow set procedures and use information to make good decisions.
Some knowledge of Welfare Benefits, Council Tax and Housing Benefit will be really useful, as well as an understanding of equality principles and how they apply in practice.
