Full job description

Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our growing Defence team. As Senior Account Manager you will be responsible for developing and maintaining senior-level Customer relationships, for ensuring TVS delivers excellent customer service and value to the Client, and for all commercial aspects of the contracts you manage. You will lead on contract growth opportunities and identify and support wider business development activities with your clients.

The Senior Account Manager will lead Customer engagement strategy, working collaboratively with TVS department senior management to deliver all contractual obligations, identify and mitigate risks and identify and deliver continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship & Account Management

Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with key client / consortium stakeholders, acting as the primary commercial point of contact
Responsible for understanding contract obligations to ensure compliance whilst identifying and mitigating risks through liaison and negotiation
Understand changes to client supply chain requirements, operational challenges, and growth plans and lead the TVS response from an operational and commercial perspective
Conduct regular business reviews to assess performance and identify changes and improvement opportunities

Supply Chain & Operational Alignment

Work closely with TVS departmental senior managers (procurement, operations, transport, finance teams) to ensure service delivery meets contractual and performance requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and service enhancement
Manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of operational issues

Account Growth & Commercial Development

Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling logistics services, value-added solutions, and product ranges
Support new business opportunities within existing client organisations

Commercial & Financial Management

Own account profitability and margin performance
Lead commercial negotiations, contract renewals, and service agreements
Monitor forecasts, budgets, and performance against revenue targets

Knowledge and Experience:

Significant experience in account management or commercial roles within procurement, supply chain or manufacturing environments
Strong understanding of managed procurement and supply chain models, logistics operations and product-based sales
Demonstrated experience managing large or complex client accounts
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
