Full job description

We are a busy independent vehicle repair garage looking for a friendly organised and reliable Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to become a permanent part of our team.

This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys working with people, can stay organised in a fast-paced environment and is willing to learn about the day-to-day operations of a workshop. Previous experience within the motor trade is helpful but not essential, as full support and training will be provided for the right candidate.

This role will consist of 3 days a week with the opportunity to become a full-time member of the team.

Key Responsibilities

Managing incoming phone calls, customer enquiries, and workshop bookings.
Greeting customers and providing a professional and welcoming front of house experience.
Assisting with general administrative duties including paperwork, invoicing, filing and correspondence.
Supporting the day to day running of the garage and assisting the wider team where required.
Helping maintain accurate records and customer information.
Assisting with parts ordering and stock management.
Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers and suppliers.

The Ideal Candidate

Punctual, dependable and professional.
Friendly and confident when speaking to customers both in person and over the phone.
Comfortable working in a busy environment and able to multitask effectively.
Computer literate with good basic administrative skills.
Previous customer service experience needed.
An interest in cars or vehicle parts would be an advantage, although a willingness to learn is equally important.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
