As an Account Manager, you’ll spend your time out with customers — understanding their operations, uncovering opportunities and helping them achieve more through smarter automation and control solutions.

️ What you’ll be doing

Manage and develop a portfolio of existing customer accounts, building strong, long-term relationships and becoming a trusted advisor.
Identify customer needs and present commercially attractive, technically beneficial solutions across automation and control products and services.
Grow sales within your territory by following up marketing leads, networking, identifying new opportunities and developing existing accounts.
Plan and attend regular customer visits, working closely with internal sales colleagues and product specialists to deliver excellent service.
Monitor account activity, manage priorities effectively and work towards agreed sales targets and business objectives.

What do you need to bring to Routeco?

Required: Previous experience in a sales, account management, business development or customer-facing commercial role.
Required: Strong communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills, with confidence engaging with customers at different levels.
Required: GCSEs, or equivalent, in Maths and English.
Desirable: Experience working towards sales targets and developing a territory or customer portfolio.
Desirable: Knowledge of control and automation, industrial products or other technical solutions gained within a sales environment; however, training will be provided.
