Job Title: Operational Planning Local Support Officer

Salary: The starting salary is £40,519, which includes allowances totalling £3,009.

The salary is broken down as £37,510 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £40,141. Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

This is an exciting opportunity within the Workforce Planning and Deployment Team of the Metropolitan Police, delivering the workforce models for the organisation’s People Plan, across more than 70 business units and encompassing a c.50,000 people.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as SPOC for central operational planning tactical support to the business areas, in conjunction with the wider Workforce Planning & Deployment team
Provide advice and guidance to the relevant business unit and local business resource planners across the organisation on the correct processes and policies for undertaking workforce planning and deployment activities.
Collaborate across the business units to gather information required for the corporate management and deployment of the workforce, including input to monthly deployment decision and people movement panels.
Responsible for ensuring the business maintains accurate and timely processing of the local business posting process with communications to both internal stakeholders and outsourced partners.
Maintain accurate logs of activities and requirements for each business unit to ensure clear and accurate record keeping and escalation details
Act as an ambassador for data updates used in the dashboards so that they are trusted by the wider organisation
First line response at local unit resource planning meetings, owning the relationships and delivering accurate and timely support and communication
