Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, supporting our culinary staff to deliver excellent service. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience within a professional kitchen setting, ideal for individuals interested in pursuing a career in food service or hospitality.

THE WORKING ROTA IS 08:45 TO 17:15 MONDAY, THURSDAY AND FRIDAY AND INCLUDES ALTERNATE WEEKENDS

OWN TRANSPORT ESSENTIAL FOR THE LOCATION OF THE GARDEN CENTRE

Duties

Washing and sanitising dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils efficiently and thoroughly
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and equipment to uphold health and safety standards
Organising and storing clean items appropriately for easy access by kitchen staff
Supporting the team during busy periods by helping with serving or clearing tables as needed
Adhering to all hygiene regulations and safety procedures within the kitchen environment

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Experience in hospitality roles such as serving or working in a busy kitchen setting will be considered an asset
A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential qualities for success in this role
