Full job description

We're looking for an Accounts & Office Administrator to join our friendly team in Exmouth. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of our successful family-run business.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same, making it ideal for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys getting stuck into a range of tasks. As part of our small, supportive team, you'll have the opportunity to learn new skills, take on responsibility and make a real contribution to the business.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the day-to-day administration of the office
Assisting with accounts administration and financial record keeping
Processing invoices and maintaining accurate records
Supporting payroll administration
Handling customer and supplier enquiries
Managing emails, correspondence and office documentation
Providing administrative support to the Finance & Operations Manager
Assisting with a variety of tasks across the business as required

Skills & Qualities

We're looking for someone who:

Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Has strong numerical and administrative skills
Communicates confidently and professionally
Can manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
Has good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
Is reliable, trustworthy and able to handle confidential information
Has a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
Enjoys working as part of a small, friendly team

Experience

Previous office administration experience is desirable
Accounts administration experience would be beneficial
Experience with Sage Payroll would be an advantage, but is not essential
Experience with accounting software such as Sage or Xero would be beneficial

We currently use Sage Accounts and are transitioning to Xero, giving the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to gain experience with both platforms and be involved in an exciting period of change. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
