Full job description

As our next Change & Release Lead you’ll oversee change and release across a complex technology landscape, balancing the demands of the business with the required governance and rigour of the Change & Release Management disciplines, to deliver value to customers whilst minimising service disruption. You’ll join a likeminded team in our Bradford based IT Delivery function.

What You'll Do

Oversee the endtoend change and release processes, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
Provide leadership, coaching, and workload prioritisation for a team of Change & Release Coordinators.
Support Change Advisory Board meetings, ensuring clear risk articulation and effective decisionmaking.
Drive process improvement, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, automate processes, and enhance change quality.
Monitor performance metrics, tracking KPIs such as change success rate, incident impact, and release stability to inform continuous improvement.
Build strong relationships with delivery teams, product owners, and operational leads to ensure alignment and transparency.
Lead response to breaches of the Change & Release Management policy and procedures, escalating where necessary to the Change & Release Manager.

Skills Required

ITIL expertise Strong understanding of ITIL Change and Release Management.
Leadership & coaching Demonstrable experience leading operational or service management teams.
Risk assessment Ability to evaluate technical and business risk for complex changes.
Analytical mindset Comfortable using data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
Strong communication Able to build stakeholder relationships and communicate at all levels.
ITSM tooling proficiency Experience with platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, etc.
