Crisis Worker

28.8 hours per week

£27,004 –£28,129 pro rata

Fixed-term until 31st October 2026

Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre are at the heart of the refugee and migrant communities within Coventry, welcoming and empowering asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants in Coventry to rebuild their lives and achieve their potential.

We currently have a very exciting vacancy for a Crisis Worker.

The post holder will casework for clients who are in crisis and in need of immediate help with acute problems, such as homelessness and domestic violence and will have a meticulous approach to work, attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

This role requires an experienced Crisis Worker with relevant knowledge and skills. To be successful in the role, you will have experience in crisis management, experience of working with refugees and migrants and experience of providing advice and guidance around areas such as housing, asylum support and welfare benefits.

Furthermore, you will have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to problem solve and respond quickly and flexibly. To be successful in the post, you will have an excellent understanding of safeguarding legislation and of complex and multiple needs, including domestic violence, substance abuse and homelessness.

The post will be based at Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre, Norton House, Bird Street, Coventry, CV1 5FX.
