Medical Receptionist / Patient Coordinator

Location: Nottingham (NG4)

Salary: £16.00–£18.00 per hour (depending on experience)

At AC Medical Services, we don't believe in ordinary healthcare—and we're not looking for an ordinary receptionist.

We are an expanding private medical practice providing Private GP appointments, Occupational Health services, medicals, health screening, blood testing and specialist clinics. Every day is different, and every patient expects an exceptional experience.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, genuinely enjoys helping people and can effortlessly juggle multiple tasks while remaining calm, professional and organised.

The Role

You will be the first point of contact for our patients, clients and visitors, creating an outstanding first impression both in person and over the telephone.

This is far more than a traditional reception role. You'll be an integral part of a friendly, ambitious team, ensuring the smooth running of a busy private medical practice.

Your Responsibilities

Welcoming patients and visitors with a warm, professional manner.
Managing a busy reception desk.
Answering multiple telephone lines efficiently and professionally.
Booking, amending and coordinating appointments across a range of clinics.
Responding promptly to email enquiries.
Processing payments and maintaining accurate records.
Liaising with doctors, nurses and occupational health clinicians.
Preparing clinics and ensuring administrative tasks are completed accurately.
Supporting the wider team with day-to-day administration.
Maintaining exceptional standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

Experience

Essential

Previous receptionist, customer service or administration experience.
Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office.
Outstanding customer service skills.

Desirable

Previous experience within private healthcare, GP practice, dental, optical, veterinary or other healthcare environments.
Experience using clinical or appointment booking software.
Occupational Health administration experience.
