Housekeeper
Location: Ferryview Health Centre, 25 John Wilson Street, Woolwich, SE18 6PZ
Hours: 15 hours per week
Working Time: 2PM–5PM
Salary: £14.80 per hour
Start Date: ASAP

This position is ideal for someone living locally in Woolwich or surrounding areas.

We’re looking for a reliable, detail‑oriented Housekeeper to join our friendly team at a busy local health centre. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and sanitise clinical and non‑clinical areas (waiting rooms, toilets, staff kitchens).
Follow infection control protocols and cleaning schedules.
Clean toilets and kitchens and replenish supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet rolls).
Safely handle cleaning products and equipment.
Report maintenance issues or hazards promptly.
Complete daily cleaning schedules accurately.
Correctly separate and dispose of waste, including recycling according to site procedures.

What We’re Looking For

Experience in cleaning or housekeeping (healthcare experience preferred but not essential).
Understanding of hygiene standards and infection control.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Willingness to learn and follow site‑specific procedures.
Able to communicate effectively with staff.
A thorough eye for detail and pride in maintaining high standards.

Full training will be provided.

Able to clean specific areas as defined in cleaning schedules — Essential
Report issues/damage to the Housekeeping Supervisor — Essential
Ensure furnishings are cleaned and maintained — Essential
Adhere to Health & Safety rules and company policies — Essential
Understanding of correct recycling processes and waste segregation — Essential
