Full job description

Overview:

Café Ơi is an independent Vietnamese-inspired café in Marsden, serving speciality Vietnamese coffee and bold East & Southeast Asian food. From handmade dumplings and brunch to evening dining, cookery classes and festival events, no two days here are the same.

We're looking for someone who wants more than just a kitchen job. This is a varied role for someone who's excited to get involved in all aspects of what we do—from developing new dishes and helping deliver events to supporting festivals and contributing ideas that shape the business.

If you're passionate about great food, enjoy working in a small, creative team, and like the idea of every week being a little different, we'd love to hear from you.

Duties:
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen
- Plan and create innovative menus and baked goods
- Ensure food quality meets high standards
- Train and supervise kitchen staff
- Manage inventory and control food costs
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations

Skills:
- Experience in Hospitality or Culinary industry
- Proficient in supervising kitchen operations
- Strong background in restaurant kitchen management
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Expertise in food production techniques
