Full job description

An exciting opportunity for a confident and motivated receptionist with a passion for hospitality to work within a highly recognised 4-star hotel in Torquay.

This job role covers working on weekends, bank/summer holidays, etc. It consists of two shifts 7:30am - 3:30pm & 3:00pm – 11:00pm. Shifts rotate to fit everyone fairly.

Job responsibility:

Greeting customers in a well presented and welcoming manner
Checking guests in and out/Issuing key cards
Competency in using reservation-specific computer software
Taking reservations by telephone or email
Preparing bills and dealing with payments
Provide guests with information and answer general queries
Enforce rules and policies of the hotel
To complete daily reception duties, as per morning and afternoon check lists, including balancing all revenue posted, credit procedures, night audits and ensuring guest information is kept up to date and is recorded and secure
Maintain a neat front desk and reception area
Respond to guest queries / requests in-person and by phone or email.
To be able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
