Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and professional Dental Practice Receptionist/Manager to oversee daily operations within our dental clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing front desk activities, supervising staff, and ensuring the smooth running of the practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with management experience to contribute to a welcoming environment while maintaining efficient administrative processes.

Duties

Welcome patients and manage appointment scheduling to optimise clinic flow
Oversee reception area, ensuring a professional and friendly atmosphere
Supervise administrative staff, providing guidance and support as needed
Handle financial transactions, including billing, invoicing, and insurance claims
Manage human resources tasks such as staff rotas, performance reviews, and training coordination
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with data protection regulations
Assist with practice marketing initiatives and patient communication strategies
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards within the practice
Support the dental team with administrative and CQC related tasks to facilitate efficient patient care

Experience

Proven supervisory or management experience within a healthcare or dental setting is preferred
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Experience in financial management, including billing and insurance processing
Knowledge of human resources practices related to staff supervision and development
Previous veterinary or dental experience is advantageous but not essential
Excellent communication skills with a professional demeanour
Competency in using practice management software and MS Office applications
