Juniors Roving Centre Manager

St. Giles Juniors

programmes. Our residential Junior courses cater for learners aged 8–17, and our Family

courses welcome children from 5–15, depending on location. Every member of staff is an

Duties
The St Giles Juniors Roving Centre Manager will assist in the planning and preparation of the

Juniors and Family programmes across all centres and will also make themselves fully
available to assume direct supervision of the entirety of an individual centre operation should

the need arise. It should be noted that the Roving Centre Manager, under the direction of the

Director of Juniors, will be expected to assist in guaranteeing the smooth functioning of
operations throughout the Juniors programme.

The duties of the St Giles Juniors Roving Center Manager fall into two segments and the

non-exhaustive list of duties below:

1. Pre-programme preparation
2. Real-time Juniors & Family centre operations

Pre-Programme Preparation
• Assisting with induction and management training

Assisting with centre set up
Working with the Operations Managers for the creation of rooming and catering lists

Working with OMs to create initial staff timetables for all centres

During Operational period

Mentoring and supporting management staff on site

Conducting site visits and quality control checks/assessing areas of weakness in

conjunction with the Director of Juniors/ROMs

Ensuring that standards are consistent with relevant accreditation body
Running on site meetings and/or training sessions

Filling in for any onsite management role in any location, potentially with limited

notice. In this instance the duties would be outlined in the relevant job description.
E.g. if you were covering for a Centre Manager, you would be expected to work

within the job description of that role.

Taking responsibility of the Head Office emergency phone on a rota basis

Apprising Director of Juniors, or relevant member of Juniors HO team, of situations

that need to be addressed (potential and real)

Ensuring that all St Giles employees and client Group Leaders follow established

safeguarding procedures

Addressing centre needs in conjunction with the Director of Juniors/Operations

Managers

Conducting follow-up risk assessments
Assisting the OMs with adjusting itineraries and finalizing/changing bookings

Submitting timely reports to the Director of Juniors, where requested

Other duties as assigned.

Considerable experience in working as a Centre Manager on residential juniors

programmes

Considerable experience in different roles within the ELT Juniors sector

Relevant ELT qualifications (desirable)

Enthusiasm for the company and industry

Job Details

Within the role, there will be a varied mixture of independent work, supervised work

and teamwork. You will be required to report to, update and consult the Director of

Juniors on a regular basis.

Fixed term contract from 4th May 2026 to 14th August 2026

Salary: £29,290 per annum (pro rata) per week plus accrued holiday pay.
Full board accommodation on site is included for site visits/cover and can be provided

throughout the duration of the operational period, if required.

The Roving Centre Manager will work 6 days a week for 55 hours a week with one full day

off

Office based at St Giles, Brighton (1-3 Marlborough Place) or potential to work from home

in agreement with the DoJ. Based on location on site during operational periods as and when

required.

Roving Centre Managers work up to 55 hours a week with one day off a week. You will

need to take the emergency phone overnight on a rota basis with other members of the

HO Team. If required to work during the night, overtime will be paid at the usual hourly

rate. Details available on request. Applicants are advised that the contract of employment

includes a 48-hour weekly opt out clause.
